Could not determine CFBundleName!

Reported by Maciej | November 15th, 2013 @ 07:17 PM | in 1.2.0 Release

I am trying to install an ad-hoc app using ideviceinstaller, getting the following errors:

ERROR: could not locate iTunesMetadata.plist in archive!
Could not determine CFBundleName!

  • I assume the first error is valid since iTunes metadata is not added for ad-hoc apps
  • Using iOS7
  • Tried to use XML/binary for plist, without any difference in the output logs.
  • The CFBundleName is present in the .app/.ipa Info.plist

Depending on the name of your app this might have been a problem but it is fixed in ideviceinstaller git HEAD.
