Access App Sandbox (no jailbreak)

Reported by lolgc | November 3rd, 2013 @ 09:02 PM | in 1.2.0 Release

Hi,
my name is lolgc and I wanted to know, how i'm able to mount the ".app" folder of an app with iFuse.
For e.g.: com.apple.iBooks/iBooks.app
(I dont mean the Documents, Library or Temp folder)

I know, that i'm able to gain access via jailbreak. Unfortunately, not everyone has a jailbreak.
I read on source-overflow, that you'll need to outcomment the line, where it says : osubdir=documents.

As expected, this led to the error that the subdir options are missing, when executing "ifuse --appid com.ap...."

I know, that ifunbox was capable of editing the files inside .app on jailed idevices before the release of iOS 6.

I would be happy, if somebody would help me.
Please note, that I'm not doing this for illigal purposes, like cracking or supporting piracy. Furthermore, iBooks is only an example for this thread.

Thank you very much,

lolgc

This is fixed in ideviceinstaller git master. Two new arguments "--documents" and "--container" allow mounting of either the Documents directory or the root .app directory of an app.
