can't open Iphone 5s files in Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.1

I was running Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.0 and I could mount and view my Iphone files fine. I was transferring pictures from my Iphone to my computer. I upgraded to Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.1 and now my Iphone will mount, but it is not showing any files or folders. I reformatted my computer and installed Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.0 back on my computer and ran all of the updates. It still won't work. I noticed that one of the updates was libimobiledevice6. That was installed when I updated to Cinnamon 18.1 also. I believe that is where the problem lies. My Iphone 5s is running iOS 10.2.1.
