python-idevicesync fails to transfer Contacs and Calendar information

With all the latest libimobiledvice bits out of git:
./iphonesync.py -d -o contacts.vcard com.apple.Contacts [rryder@localhost python-idevicesync]$ ls -l contacts.vcard -rw-rw-r--. 1 rryder rryder 0 Aug 13 14:42 contacts.vcard
idevicesyslog reports:
Fri Aug 13 14:39:29 unknown lockdownd[22] : (0x839e00) handle_connection: Could not receive USB message #6 from unknown. Killing connection
Bookmarks and notes come over fine.

Missed a line of the idevicesyslog output:

Thanks for reporting.
The idevicesyslog messages are just notices that the connection broke down.
What is needed for debugging is the debug output of iphonesync.
Especially at the time when it crashes.
Also, please tell us your versions (iOS, your OS, used libimobiledevice).
