merge libiphone-libplist
Reported by Matt Colyer | March 24th, 2009 @ 03:08 AM | in 1.0 Release
By the way, the libplist based libiphone in my repository works well for me, and since i haven't got feedback stating that it doesn't work i'd say it's ready for mainline integration. But before we need to decide how we organize sub libraries (separate repos or a single one with subdirs).

Patch to be applied on top of ifuse so it still compiles after merge.

So I went ahead and did the merge but then realised that there isn't a libplist out there yet so I didn't push it.
Should I wait for a release package?

libplist v0.8(1.0rc1) is out. Source package can be downloaded from here : http://github.com/JonathanBeck/l...
I did some packaging for debian lenny. I will make some ubuntu intrepid image when I get a virtual image of it. However I am not familiar with rpm packaging so i won't do them.

You might want to use the attached patch to fix issues when building libplist for 64bit.
I have built packages for openSUSE 11.0/11.1 (and Fedora soon): http://download.opensuse.org/rep...

while making a patch for libiphone to make use of libplist, I noticed a missing malloc() in plist_add_sub_element. Patch is attached.

Jonathan did you add Nikia's patch? I went ahead and added a link to libplist on the wiki page and said that it was required in preparation for merging stuff in.

Yes the patch is included in libplist 0.9. Martin has also backported it in his 0.8 package.
