Unable to properly configure ifuse using 64bit Ubuntu 9.10 - the Karmic Koala

I successfully ran this command on my 32bit installation and it worked flawlessly. I am not sure what further information you could use to diagnose this.
sean@Kanga:/media/ipod$ sudo ifuse /media/ipod
ifuse: symbol lookup error: ifuse: undefined symbol:
iphone_device_new
sean@Kanga:/media/ipod$

- Tag set to 64bit, libiphone, ubuntu, x86_64
- State changed from new to open
Looks like you have some messed up package setup.
Can you find out which libplist, usbmuxd, libiphone and ifuse package versions you have installed please?

You have the wrong iFuse package version installed.
Remove all related packages and better follow one of the newer tutorials on the web to install libimobiledevice.Newer packages for Karmic are available here:
