idevicerestore fails with "Unknown data request 'BasebandData' received" with iPhone 4 updating to iOS 5.01
Reported by Ian Woods | February 22nd, 2012 @ 10:55 AM
Updates to an iPhone 4 fail. The process stalls after reporting "Unknown data request 'BasebandData' received", presumably because the device has requested it and is waiting for it to be provided.
The full output can be seen here: http://pastebin.com/4LdBG9R4
Looking at the code, there's no code in restore_handle_data_request_msg() in recovery.c to handle the 'BasebandData' requested by the device.

You are right, the BasebandData request is not handled yet. We are working on this, at least on a solution so it is skipped for now (it might prevent the baseband update).

Excellent. Thanks Martin.
