Support for IPCC files

Is there any possibility to support IPCC (carrier bundle) files.
Currently the only way to use them is through iTunes after enabling
the carrier-testing boolean to true.
These files are used to add cellular Networks to the iPhone with
advanced settings.

Yes, there is a full service interface to manage carrier bundles on the device.
However, nobody has stepped up to the task to implement it yet.
I think this is rather 1.4.0 material unless someone wants to get on the task earlier. -

Ok, some progress here. The carrier bundles are installed like IPA applications using the installation_proxy interface.
This means that ideviceinstaller should be able to install those just fine once someone teaches it not to reject IPCC files.No need for "carrier-testing" stuff or iTunes then.

That's fantastic!
Now the only issue will be on the phone side, as CommCenter won't accept the bundle if it isn't signed. This can be bypassed if CommCenter is patched, which requires jailbreaking and either installing TetherMe (safe, uses MobileSubstrate) or hard patching(dangerous). -

This will only work for IPCC files which are properly signed.
Anything else is not part of the "job" of libimobiledevice and not really an issue for us. -
