iphone 1st generation not detected by amarok/rhytmbox/gtkpod (ubuntu maverick)
Reported by bve | October 1st, 2010 @ 05:37 AM
Hi,
I'm using an Iphone 1st generation (4GB), which comes up in the device manager, but won't be detected in amarok and the other music softwares.
Pluggin the iphone in I get this on syslog:

high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5

Starting amarok with --debug gives me a lot of messages when plugging the iphone in, maybe they are of some help:

Hi,
I'm facing nearly the same problem.
My 3G ipod touch does appear in amarok 2.3.2 under Maverick rc.
But it is wrongly labelled "Apple ipod" and displays 0 track !
It used to work fine under Lucid with P McEnery ppa, i.e. ifuse, usbmuxd, libimobiledevice & gvfs.
I'm lost.
Does anyone know the exact requirements for amarok to handle it properly back again ? -

- Tag set to amarok
- State changed from new to invalid
I would strongly advise to post bugs related to Amarok in the Amarok bugtracker:
http://amarok.kde.org/en/supportWe can hardly do support for all software.
Asides it might help to install the required and latest software packages like usbmuxd, libplist, libimobiledevice and ifuse on your system.
