sync playlist

I'm using ubuntu 10.04 and so far it works like a charm. I am able to add new songs to my iphone by just draging the song onto the Iphone symbol. but how do i sync full playlist which i already have set up in rhythembox without doing it all over again on the phone?

This is a question about Rhythmbox (RB) and it's user interface, not about libimobiledevice. Please open the bug there in the proper bugtracker which is at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/ for the product "Rhythmbox".
As a hint, you can try to create the same playlist on the device (right-click the device icon in RB) and just copy over the tracks from your local playlist. I am not using RB but perhaps it is as simple as dragging your local playlist onto the device icon. Anyways, please ask the RB maintainers. You might also ask using IRC in #rythmbox on GIMPNet.
