ipod.app crashes after buying from itunes

Hi,
first my setup/history:
I synced my iPhone (3G, 16Gb, FW3.1.2, blackra!n jailbreak) with
the Arch Linux builds of:
libimobiledevice 1.0.0-1
usbmuxd 1.0.3-2
ifuse 1.0.0-1
libgpod-git
gtkpod-git
with the two git builds being from 22nd of April
Later I tried the current Ubuntu 10.04 and used rhythmbox to play some music.
Today I decided to buy a song using itunes.app (the first time I did that). After the song was downloaded I went to ipod.app to listen to it, and after the app started, I saw the last song I listened to (don't know if it rebuild the library prior to that), but I couldn't use any of the controls (go back, next song, play/pause,...), I could only press the Homebutton to quit it.
I tried rebooting the device, which didn't help. Neither did deleting a song and syncing with the Ubuntu (!=Arch Linux/GIT) build of gtkpod (which saw all songs stored on the iPhone), though the iPhone updated its library.
Finally I booted my Windows machine and made iTunes "transfer purchases" (didn't want to try a complete sync), which didn't do to much (it only told me that it was "checking iPhone" [überprüfe iPhone, in German]), but after I unplugged it (while still checking) and started the ipod.app - it rebuild it's library and worked again.
If there are any logfiles you might need, just tell me where I can find them and I will upload them.
My guess would be that the database was bad after using gtkpod, but could still be read by ipod.app (unlike writing by itunes.app)

iTunes and the ipod.app store their song database at two different places.
We do not support any DRM based stuff, including song purchases through iTunes, but if you want to fix this issue you'd probably want to supply us a copy of your music database (all files in /iTunes_Control/iTunes/) right after you have purchased the song with the ipod.app listing it in it's song list.
Additionally, start gtkpod from a terminal, do a full sync workflow (for example change a tiny field of a song) and post the output here.
Furthermore, this issue is on libgpod and should be relayed/reported in that project's bugtracker.

you're right, this is a libgpod issue, somehow I messed it up (doing too much stuff at the same time... free days are great^^')
Ok, I uploaded all of the files (as they are right now) to my server: http://miniwahr.seb7.de/iphone/iTunes-working.tar.gz
After that I ran (On an up-to-date Ubuntu 10.04 beta 2)

The modification was changing/correcting the title of "ASP - Die Kleine Ballade Vom Schwarz" to "ASP - Die Kleine Ballade Vom Schwarzen Schmetterling"
I posted this issue on a iPhone forum, I got one reply by someone who said, he had this issue, too. But I guess he didn't use Linux. So this might be just a coincidence.
Anyway, I'll look into the gtkpod/libgpod bugtracker and relay it there (link follows as soon as I get to it, might be tomorrow instead of today)Sebastian
