iDeviceRestore failes to flash IOS 7 firmware

Reported by John Alcock | September 25th, 2013 @ 04:20 PM | in 1.2.0 Release

Hi,

I'm trying to use idevicerestore to flash the standard iOS7 ipsw onto a handset. For all the handsets I have tried it puts the handset into recovery mode but then fails with the following messages:

img3_replace_signature: ERROR: no SHSH element found to be replaced
ERROR: Unable to replace IMG3 signature
ERROR: Unable to get component: iBEC
ERROR: Unable to send iBEC to device.
ERROR: Unable to send iBEC

Any suggestion please as to how I can fix this?

Thanks

John Alcock

    • State changed from “new” to “resolved”
    • Tag set to ibec, idevicerestore, libirecovery
    • Assigned user set to “Martin S.”
    • Milestone set to 1.2.0 Release

You should have read my note correctly, I said "revert" not "revert to".
Anyways, this is fixed in libirecovery 0.2.0 now.
