Unhandled Apple File Control error (7) upon attempting to open app folder
Reported by Luke Stanley | May 20th, 2012 @ 05:13 AM
Upon opening my iPad's document's folder in Ubuntu, I see a list of icons of my apps but after double-clicking them I get "Unhandled Apple File Control error (7)".
I'm trying to see if I can edit some javascript files in my .app folder for a Phonegap app I'm working on like I can using Macroplant iExplorer on OS X (and presumably Windows), which would be great for cross-platform development.

- State changed from new to open
- Tag set to afc, gvfs, mobile_house_arrest, nautilus, servicelimit
This means that the ServiceLimit is reached. Upstream bug to track this is:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=676188The problem is thus in the gvfs-afc implementation, not in libimobiledevice itself.
Meanwhile, if you don't mind using ifuse, then you won't have this problem and can mount your documents folder just fine every time.

I'm trying to mount an .app folder, not sure it's a documents folder. But it's good to know the cause of the bug, thanks.
