How do you use Sbmanger and ideviceinstaller?

Reported by Seabear | May 3rd, 2010 @ 01:25 AM

Okay so I downloaded the git repos for both of them (its in /home/user/) then I ran
./autogen.sh and it worked fine for both of them but after that I don't know what to do.
Sorry for being such a noob.

    • State changed from “new” to “open”

The usual steps are outlined in the INSTALL or README files. Make sure to have development libraries of libimobiledevice installed then do this:

    • ./configure --prefix=/usr
    • make
    • sudo make install

-> This should build and install the software to /usr. Then you should be able to run sbmanager, ideviceinstaller and read their manpages or use the "-h" help option. Latter is only to be used from a terminal as command line tool.

    • Tag changed from ideviceinstaller, sbmanger to documentation, ideviceinstaller, installation, sbmanger
    • State changed from “open” to “resolved”

Closing. It's not really a bug anyways and the instructions are outlined on the web and the INSTALL file.
Feel free to open if you need more help.
